Conducting a Success Exit Survey

This eLearning concept project aimed to teach first-time hiring managers how to effectively respond to employee resignations, schedule exit surveys, and ask effective questions. Learners gained a comprehensive understanding of the importance of exit surveys and developed the skills and knowledge necessary to manage employee resignations effectively.

Responsibilities: Needs Analysis, Instructional Design, and mock-ups

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Ai, Adobe XD, Miro, and Google Docs.

Problem

This eLearning project sought to solve the problem of inexperienced first-time hiring managers struggling with managing employee resignations and conducting exit surveys. By providing learners with interactive modules and multimedia content, the project aimed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle these situations with confidence.

Learning Objectives

After learners complete this course they will be able to:

  • know how to professionally respond to an employee's resignation with respect to the employee’s decision and when/how to schedule an exit interview

  • to prepare for and conduct effective exit interviews by coming up with questions that relate to work culture, reason for leaving, compensation and benefits, management quality, and their role.

Process

As an instructional designer, I aim to understand the organization's problem and break down the content into clear learning objectives that help learners perform critical behaviors.

I use visual mapping to plan and develop a learning experience that effectively teaches the audience while upholding brand identity and/or visuals that appeal to my audience.

Adobe XD Wireframing

After content approval, I utilize Adobe XD to create a wireframe of the learning course, providing an easy-to-use workspace to test designs, colors, text imaging, and slide placement within a program that allows for easy editing and note-taking, all in one space.

Once the basic designs and content is  approved I go into the second iteration in Articulate Storyline.

Visual Mapping with Miro

I use Miro as a tool to build a visual story map that includes all necessary content and follows a similar storyboard as Articulate Storyline, allowing stakeholders to give feedback on the basic build out of content and flow in an easier way.
